Perambulator

Graeme:
Breakfast this morning was toast, crepes, porridge, stewed/baked apples and tea. In the US, every hotel breakfast had a waffle iron for DIY waffles. Crepes are definitely the waffles of Russia. Cassie, who is not excited at the prospect of driving in Russian cities did enjoy driving out of Volgograd on a Sunday morning.
Today has been a day of lasts. Last Borsh, last Russian fuel, last Russian camp etc. This was exercised in full by a sleep in the shade of the car after lunch.
The roads have been stunning. One lane on these roads is larger than the two-way 'roads' of Kazakhstan - is it any wonder that was stressful.

We're camped off the highway in a grassy field, just after preparing dinner (which was steak strips, mashed potato and gravy) this spider the size of a 50c coin, which had a huge $2 body crawled up my jeans. I flicked it off and squashed it and it oozed about 3 times it's diameter in light brown innards. Oh how it was gross. I don't normally worry about spiders but this one has me checking every time something feels like its crawling on me.

I've not got much else to add other than sharing some pictures. The order may be out but you'll figure it out.
-One big fish which my brother Chris would like. This guy was so huge it would have struggled to turn around in his tank.
-Is a perambulator a pram? (Referring to the rules of the lift).
-Men with handbags. I guess men need handbags when they are not stowing belongings in their girlfriends handbag...
-Knock-off Mazda 3 made by UAZ

  1. Can't understand why some poor parent can't keep their kid in a pram while in the lift.

I'd forgotten about all of the odd signs and different customs. One beach I visited stated, amongst a whole list of prohibitions, that pregnant women & the elderly wern't allowed into the water without supervision! Men carrying their girlfriend's handbags was common in China as was the manbag. Didn't realise they was common in Russia too. Are you keeping track of all of the odd sights & signs you see? It's so easy to forget the little gems.
